AMD Ryzen 9 3900: A 12-Core 65W CPU Listed

A motherboard maker has added support for AMD’s yet-to-be-announced Ryzen 9 3900 CPU. The product will be one of the industry’s first 12-core CPU featuring a mainstream TDP of 65 W. In addition, the same manufacturer revealed that there is a Pro version of the said CPU incoming.

Biostar’s X470NH motherboard recently gained support for AMD’s yet-to-be-announced Ryzen 9 3900 CPU with a 65 W TDP, which may indicate that the launch of the unit is imminent. This is not the first time an unannounced CPU has been listed in a CPU validation list. As a second source, the processor was listed in Eurasian Economic Union’s index of crypto-capable devices as a ‘twelve-core microprocessor’.

Cooler Master MM710 Gaming Mouse Review

It seems we always go through phases when it comes to gaming mice. We’ve seen the over-sized mouse phase, the RGB LEDs everywhere phase, and now we have the lightweight gaming mouse phase. The whole idea behind having a lightweight mouse is that since it is lighter you can react quicker, have less fatigue, and ultimately game for a longer period of time. We’ve seen new lightweight mice like the Glorious Model O and Finalmouse Air58 Ninja become extremely popular so it makes sense that Cooler Master is getting their foot in the game with the MM710. The MM710 weighs in at only 53g, which makes it the lightest mouse out of the group and definitely the lightest mouse I’ve ever reviewed.

CORSAIR VIRTUOSO RGB Wireless and Wireless SE Headset Review

CORSAIR has been steadily improving their gaming headsets over the last couple of years, with the HS70 Wireless in particular providing remarkably good sound when it launched in May of 2018 – eclipsing the performance (in this reviewer’s opinion, anyhow) of any prior VOID headset I’d tested up to that point.

While CORSAIR offers VOID Wireless headsets with the “pro” monicker already, much more premium – and expensive – options are of course available from other headset makers in the PC hardware space. In recent months we’ve looked at premium headsets from the likes of ASUS ROG, HyperX, and Logitech, and now we can add CORSAIR to the list of these high-end options – and with a price tag to match.

Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE Gaming Headset Review

Coming off a quite successful run of headsets with the Void Pro Wireless and USB models and a more recent run with the HS35 and HS50, Corsair is looking to unify their lineup with an all-in-one solution that puts quality on a pedestal and looks to cement Corsair as a favorite for gaming audio moving forward. The Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE or Virtuoso SE is the latest top tier audio solution from Corsair. Built from the ground up to be a multi-platform solution the Virtuoso SE includes Slipstream Wireless technology for PC and PS4 connectivity along with USB and 3.5mm connections wider compatibility. This new lineup of headsets offers increased build quality with hand-selected and matched drivers, aluminum frame materials and memory foam earpads. Diving into the specifications; the 50mm drivers offer a 20-40KHz frequency response at 32ohms and sensitivity of 109dB, while the microphone is an omni-directional 9.5mm unit that has an impedance of 2K Ohms and frequency response of 100-10KHz. Battery life is rated at 20 hours for the SE with a 60ft Slipstream Wireless range.

Gaming headset Corsair Virtuoso Wireless SE Review – not quite cheap, but worth the price

I always have a hard time with superlatives, especially in the area of gaming headsets. Almost always for a good reason, and very rarely in a positive sense. But if exceptions confirm the rule, then today is a state of exception. Of course I don’t want to spoil too much, but I have to point out that it’s really worth reading on. Because if I already picked a pearl, then hopefully the written should be read (completely).

No, the Virtuoso isn’t quite perfect either, because that wouldn’t even work for the targeted 180 Euro MSRP. But if I compare the headset with similar offers, then the bid for this price seems quite fair. And since I am very sure that Corsair has self-confidently pumped a lot of media with samples, I will focus my review on what I can do best: Material analysis, complete break-down, PCB and chip analysis, microphone test as well as the audio chambers with the usual measurement curves and listening. Because this time it was really worth the effort.

In The Lab: ASRock X570 Aqua Motherboard Preview

This year marks the 50th anniversary of AMDs contribution to the industry and AMDs various partners have celebrated this notable achievement. One such company is ASRock, which has released its limited-edition ASRock X570 Aqua motherboard to the market with just 999 pieces available for purchase. While the launch would have coincided nicely with the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-core processor, users will, unfortunately, have to wait until November for that, but the X570 Aqua is now available to users with a $999 price tag attached.

One of the most important aspects surrounding performance on AMDs Ryzen 3000 series is temperature. Now it is no secret that the AMD 7nm chips run somewhat warmer than previous generations. One of the most effective cooling methods to keep system components from overheating is liquid cooling, and while a lot of AIO CPU cooling manufacturers have spawned a plethora of models over the last couple of years, custom liquid cooling still reigns supreme.
