When trying to find that line between performance and the ever increasing noise levels, its important to choose the right heatsinks, with the right fans, the right power supply, case fans etc. When doing so, it is easy to forget that the 7k delta on your HSF is a screamer. These mats will help you with your noise issue. Now, I wouldn't call my system totally silent, however the pitched noises that came of my PSU are more tolerable.
