Windows 8 970 Published by

A new report claims that an examination of the source code inside a recently leaked build of Windows 8.1 shows that Microsoft could be adding the Photosynth feature to the OS

From Neowin:
Smartphone Photosynth users can access the software to take full 360 degree panorama pictures by sticking together a number of separate photos, in both horizontal and and vertical views. Pictures taken with the app can be shared with friends via Twitter or Facebook or they can be posted at Microsoft's Bing.com site.

Adding Photosynth to Windows 8.1 sounds like a no-brainer for Microsoft, especially as the company has admitted that it is working with PC OEMs to launch smaller Windows tablets in the coming months. However, there's no guarantee that the camera app will be included in the final Windows 8.1 build.
