Ars Technica has posted a review on the Logitech G5 Laser Mouse

Well it's that time again: a new mouse has come to try and make the supermouse from six months ago look like a plastic-molded turd in comparison. With its addition of a weighted cartridge, laser optics, sturdy new feet and 2,000dpi resolution, the Logitech G5 is hoping to be that new mouse. Now, after spending a couple weeks with it in the trenches, it's time for a report. I know for some people (the ones with the ASDW letters still visible on their keyboards), their old mouse works fine and a 2,000dpi laser mouse to play Tetris is a luxury that's not exactly tempting. But to the people like me that have a grudge to settle from last week and a railgun to settle it with, a new mouse is always looked at as a possible way to get you one step closer to GonnaMakeYouMyGimp Town.
