WinRumors reports that post-RTM builds of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango have been spotted in use.

Build 7.10.8200 has been identified from server logs of a Windows Phone application named “Dude, where’s my update?” The application was designed for Windows Phone 7 users to check the status of the original NoDo update, released earlier this year. Microsoft’s final build of Windows Phone 7.5 is marked as 7.10.7720.

WMPU speculates that the build could be Microsoft’s next Windows Phone update, rumored to be codenamed “Tango”. The build is expected to be an interim release between Windows Phone Mango and the next-generation of Windows Phone, codenamed “Apollo.” The jump in build strings would explain a split in development, keeping the 77xx trees available for future 7.5 updates and improvements.
