There is much speculation around at the present time relating to the next generation of video cards and with a new AGP 8X protocol appearing on the newer mainboards the interest again has increased with the performance of the video card.Furthermore we can not think of a more competitive time than now with the christmas season fast approaching and a time for many retailers to boast the new technolgy and performance of the latest cards.For much of the last two years Nvidia became the obvious solution for gamers and looking back they absoblutely saturated the market with various designs which catered for casual users to high end gaming enthusiasts .However the crown has changed and the choice is wider than ever but today we no longer have 3DFX to shake up the market each time we have ATI and Nvidia competing for the glory and a small percentage of users enjoying the benefits of the Matrox Parhelia series of cards which has proven to be a costly product in terms comparing the popular cards from ATI and Nvidia.For Matrox the range of cards they produced certainly in the high end series as more of an attraction to the Digital video editing artist and it would be a big mistake to go along the lines of recommendation for the gaming entusiasts.
