Bytesector takes a look at the Seagate 7200.10 750GB HDD



Seagate has released the latest solution to the storage issue-a whopping 750GBs in a 3.5" enclosure which promises to be a viable storage device for many people (when they put four of them into their computer). At one point in the not so distant past, size prevented manufacturers from building a hard drive larger than 500GBs. Seagate took advantage of an emerging technology called Perpendicular Recording Technology, which allows them to put more sectors per square inch of platter surface area.
