Icy Dock MB324SP-B ExpressCage Review

We have recently tested the Icy Dock Turbo Swap hard drive caddy. For owners of a SATA hard drive, the frame turned out to be a useful extension. Today we want to present another hot swap cage of the brand Icy Dock, the Icy Dock MB324SP-B ExpressCage. This mobile rack is able to accommodate four SSDs. Excited? We also. Therefore, we proceed directly to the Icy Dock MB324SP-B ExpressCage review.

MEIZU M2 Note 4G LTE Smartphone Review

The mainstream offering from Meizu has impressed us plenty as the MX4 did in the past; despite the low cost price ($159.59 at GearBest at the current time of review), we are offered a very good 4G smartphone with dual-nanoSIM capabilities, a sleek rounded polycarbonate body, small screen bezels for keeping the size to a minimum, a dual function Home button, good quality cameras, a mainstream 64-bit octa-core SoC from MTK and a potent battery for more than enough standby times.

Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ITX SE White Case Review

When I visited CyberpowerPC earlier this year they showed me a new system they were working on that used a really cool Mini ITX case. One of the unique features of the SFF case was that instead of the motherboard laying flat with the PSU above the cpu cooler it was hanging in a vertical position like most Mid and Full tower cases. This orientation allowed them to install a full 240 AIO watercooler, full length video card and still have plenty of airflow to keep the motherboard and video card cool.

The case they used was the Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV.

Silverstone Raven RVZ02 Review: The new best Mini-ITX case for gaming rigs

With some 16 months having passed since our first look at the RVZ01, Silverstone has returned with another compact gaming chassis. Predictably named the Raven RVZ02, this new model is 15% smaller than the original while still promising to support graphics cards up to 13" long. Silverstone believes that the RVZ02 is one of the easiest compact Mini-ITX cases to build a gaming system in and we'll be putting together multiple hardware configurations to test this claim.

SteelSeries Apex M800 Mechanical Keyboard Review

What is the difference between a luxury and an overkill? As I sit here at 2:25pm on a Tuesday afternoon contemplating about this question, the more I think, the more I realize the line is not as clear as I have first imagined. In my opinion, luxury has a lot to do with function, while overkill is more so related to purpose. For example, if I buy a luxury car, I would like to see things like massage seats, high quality leather, hands-free trunk release, and so on. All of these serve a practical purpose to some extent, but most people can do without. On the other hand, an overkill is like me buying a computer with an Intel Core i7-6700K, 32GB of RAM, several SSDs in RAID, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti to send emails and watch YouTube. A $500 computer can do the same thing just as well functionally; you are simply not harnessing the extra processing power available on the gaming PC. However, some things are not so clear cut. Advertised as the fastest keyboard in the world, the SteelSeries Apex M800 is quite a keyboard: Equipped with independently programmable illuminated keys and advanced lighting effects, featuring not one, but two, processors inside to ensure no keystrokes are ever missed, the company's latest creation is aimed to woo you with unmatched customization and attention to detail. Simply put, this is not your run-of-the-mill RGB mechanical keyboard. Of course, with epic features come a somewhat epic $200 price tag, which begs the question, is the SteelSeries Apex M800 a luxury or an overkill? We took one in to find out.

XFX Radeon R9 390X Double Dissipation Core Edition Review

During my career I have probably made this statement over a thousand times. “Motherboard and video card partners take the hand they are dealt with and from there make improvements.” These improvements are usually contained in aftermarket cooling, changes in power delivery or a non-reference layout. Video cards seem to get the most attention from the consumer since reference cooling is usually the greatest concern. We have seen video card partners take a reference setup and simply place and aftermarket cooler on it, while there are some who also change the power delivery system and finally some who change the entire design completely just using the GPU as the only constant. It doesn’t matter which way it is done as long as the end result enhances the ability of the core. If you are a video card enthusiast you’re aware that even these changes may not produce the greatest results since the core may have certain deficiencies.
