Cougar Surpassion Review

Top optical sensor, Omron switches rated for 50 million clicks, an LCD display, and, of course, RGB lighting. All of these fit into a relatively small mouse shell that is mainly meant for palm gripping. This is the Surpassion, one of Cougar's high-end mice to compete in the sub-$40 price category.

EasySMX COOL 2000 Gaming Headset Review

Here at Play3r we are regularly approached by readers and viewers asking how they can break into the industry and start reviewing products, helping to shine a light on gems or warn against a horrendous item. The simple answer is to just start doing it – listen to any feedback you get from people who read your product reviews on shopping sites like Amazon and Newegg and forever refine and improve your presentation. Another route to publication is by submitting your review to established companies, rather like the EasySMX COOL 2000 Gaming Headset review we have here for you today.

In what we hope will inspire our audience to contribute their experiences of products, we have our first Community Submitted Review. Please remember as you read through any CSR articles that not everyone is born with amazing camera skills (or an amazing camera) and that writing is something that takes practice. If you would like to provide feedback that will help the author improve their writing or photography then please do, but do so respectfully! For example, instead of flaming an author for grainy images you could suggest ways to improve use of natural light if they don’t have access to professional equipment.

Enermax LIQFUSION 240 RGB AIO CPU Cooler Review

Today we will present Enermax LIQFUSION 240 AIO cooler which gives me high expectations considering how well was performing Enermax LIQTECH TR4 280 reviewed some time ago. We will test the LIQFUSION cooler on the Intel Coffee Lake platform so less demanding than the AMD Threadripper but still not so light for coolers.

On the market where everything has RGB lighting, we can’t forget about CPU coolers. Enermax not only promises high performance but also great looks with RGB lighting. Of course, we will check both the key features in our review.

Stay with us to find out how much to offer has the LIQFUSION 240 AIO cooler.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Linux Gaming Benchmarks

Last week following the launch of the RTX 2070 Turing graphics cards, I carried out some initial RTX 2070 compute benchmarks including of TensorFlow and more common OpenCL/CUDA workloads. The GPU compute performance for this $499+ Turing GPU was quite good and especially for INT16 test cases often beating the GTX 1080 Ti. Available now are the Linux gaming benchmarks for the GeForce RTX 2070 compared to an assortment of other NVIDIA GeForce and AMD Radeon graphics cards on Ubuntu 18.10.

Solder vs. Paste on the Core i9-9900K

Having reviewed Intel's latest Core i9-9900K and Core i7-9700K processors, we saw very high stock temperatures using high-end coolers, basically killing their overclocking potential. We know that soldering CPUs works a lot better than the paste method Intel's been using to cut costs, so we wanted to know how much better is the solder method used by the 9900K than the paste of the 8700K/8086K?

System76 Oryx Pro Linux Laptop Review

System76 is a Denver-based firm with a "by hackers, for hackers" ethos. It's not the first outfit to have tried to deliver on this promise, nor will it be the last. It follows in a long line pioneered by Red Hat and VA Research, and it will continue in the future with businesses yet to be founded. At this moment in history though, System76 seems to be doing a pretty good job of maintaining that standard.
