VIA HArdware has posted a review of the Soyo Radeon 8500LE-D, a pre-production 8500LE part from Soyo.

The final version will be slightly different in terms of clock speed, but this review should give you a good gauge on the performance to expect. This factory overclocked card aims to get the most out of the ATI 8500 core.

Soyo is a company that has been making motherboards for a long time. Since 1985 they began catering to the OEM and System Integrator market and they made a name for themselves as a maker of quality motherboards. Over the past several years they have made boards that have been well accepted in the enthusiast market, and the name Soyo is much more recognized than it once was. I remember their 6BA+IV motherboard which offered support for 8 IDE devices by using a Highpoint controller chip, 4 DIMM slots, and more. This board was a hint of things to come, as Soyo now has the popular DRAGON series of motherboards which have been a big hit among enthusiasts. Expanding upon their success in making motherboards, Soyo has now decided to enter the video card market. Soyo has provided us with a sample of their Radeon 8500LE based video card, and today we will see just what Soyo has to offer with this new product.
