PC PSU testers need lots of giant heatsunk resistors, chunky cables, and preferably also scary knife switches, right?

So how good can one that'll fit in your pocket be?

I've just checked out a Connectland-branded ATX Power Supply Tester that doesn't cost much, doesn't weigh much, and doesn't load up a power supply much. But it actually turned out to be OK, within its limitations.
