VMware Inc. has released a beta version of their upcoming VMware 2.0.1 for Windows NT and Windows 2000

Beta Release 2.0.1 addresses a number of bugs encountered by customers. It includes:

Fixes for raw disk
Fixes for installation of product
Fix for assert bugNr=3823: failure in a Windows 95 or Windows 98 guest operating system boot sequence when running a DOS-mode scandisk after a Norton Antivirus scan
Fix for assert bugNr=4282
Fix for not implemented bugNr=4270
Checks to identify Pentium III (Coppermine) systems with an out of date BIOS, which may result in bugNr=3813 or other random failure of VMware
