Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and saved to desktop.
Right click the MBAM icon on desktop and follow the prompts to continue and finish installation.
Open MBAM, in the menu window right click Settings button.
In General Settings put a check mark in the 7 boxes.
Then click Updates, click Check for Updates button and once the updates are downloaded.
Click the Scanner button and Select a scanning option and then click Scan

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is user friendly, the graphical user interface (GUI )is clean and arranged in the right order and the general settings are not complicated to use.
You can perform either quick scan or a full system scan on your computer to detect and quarantine/remove the malware found on your PC, the Quick and Full scan speeds are quite fast.

This program installs easily, scans fast. The Quick scan takes only 2 minutes 41 seconds, The Complete scan took only 15 minutes 34 seconds.

The GUI is clean, simple and uncluttered. It is easy to use. It did not clash with other security apps installed on my machine. There has been no false positives in my scans. I use Windows XP Home SP2. This is a good program.

Run three other antispyware/antispam programs and none of them caught the 119 valid instances this program did in an earlier beta version. Haven't caught a thing since in any of the programs, or with this one ... I'm begining to think I may only need one ... this one. Now if I could just find a firewall that works as well ...

Was infected with the W32/Mmorpg.AHLV!tr.pws

Two files hjmh.dll and ukrth.dll could not be removed from my system using so many of the popular antivirus and spyware removers. Even booting to safe mode did not slow the infection.

Upon installation, Malwarebytes anti-malware did its job and removed the files. This program is the greatest !!!

OMG this program is freaking phenomenal! I spent 3 long nights battling to remove Antivirus XP 2008 from my computer. None of the commercial programs I tried worked. I loaded this program, followed the simple directions and within 10 minutes my computer is whole again! It even repaired my hijacked desktop. I am so thankful!!! Jackie

I think this is the best antimalware I ever tested.
It works with Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
It's compatible with the most of antivirus and firewalls.
Detect and remove trojans, spyware, rootkit and rogue utilities.

My kids installed a virus/trojan from downloading something. My virus scanner had expired. So I went bought new CD. Norton.

Norton wouldn't detect it correctly, nor would it remove it.

I went bought mcafee. same thing.
I downloaded bunch of free programs. Wouldn't work. Trendmicro housecall would just stop working.

Finally a friend on irc pointed me to this website and this program. IN 30seconds this program found the virus/trojan. Removed it. Rebooted and my computers are back to normal.

This program is worth buying just for that.

This product is the greatest!

It detected about 10 differnt types of viruses that lagged my computer, hijacked it and took away the internet. These viruses weren't found by the well known antivirus companies that you pay 100's of dollars for.

A++++++++++

Hi,

TDSS was the first piece of malware I came across on my machine I couldnt remove all by myself. So, based on advice posted on several online malware forums, downloaded MBAM and tried to run it. It only succeeded after I changed the name of the installer, target directory and the actual .exe file. Even then, I could only run the scan in safe mode, logged on as administrator.

MBAM did the trick, and now my PC runs like a charm. I am definitely a big fan of this software.

Product runs well on Windows 7 RC, was failed to remove several infections on my system. Avast boot scan did the job. I believe this product is highly over-rated with its detection and is not a full Anti-Malware solution but can be useful at removing some rogue software not detected by other products.

I just read this test preformed by Emsisoft and Malwarebytes is at the very bottom for detection rate.

Too bad its detection is so poor but it still is very good at removing some difficult roguewares.

The program removed ths XP Security Tool 2010 that infected the computer by taking over all Windows Security. Now the program has constant pop-ups wanting me to purchase the program and there is no way to uninstall it.

I purchased the product but only downloaded the trial version but never did download the paid for product and if I did I did not get an activaiton key if I could get to the product. I get runtime error 0 and runtime error 400. So even if I had the product key I could not use it. It will not open.

Installed without any problems, and updated smoothly. The only limitation of the free version is that you are denied access to 'flash scan' a super fast scan of the essential elements of the system. I purchased the program and the flash scan takes under two minutes, whilst the normal scan takes around six.

The program picked up a few entries in my registry, and two trojans that had got by my defences. The program logs every keygen or keymaker as malware - even those known to be clean.

I have found the program useful as an additional safeguard against malware infection - I tend to live dangerously in that matter, and its speed and ease of use are noteworthy.
