Installer wont work, comes up with the following error message:
Unsupported 16-Bit Application

The program or feature "%cdrom%\_setup\setup.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.

One can install Railroad Tycoon 2 Gold on another machine and simply copy it over to another and play it there. Run in XP Service pack 3 compatibility.
I loaded RRT2 on Win98 in Virtual PC. Copied program folder to another machine through network and moved it to Windows 7 machine. Needs original CD in drive to run.
Thanks to the Singaporean Gamer blog.
