Target OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3
Target video card: Geforce 6600GT, driver 181.20
About the software:
Spec Ops Pro Pack consists of Spec Ops Rangers Lead the Way and Ranger Team Bravo rolled into one game.
I ran setup in compatibility mode for Windows 98. There are three options for video: OpenGL, 3DFX, and software. On the CD is a folder with opengl.exe, software.exe and voodoo.exe. The installer renames one of these files to Bravo.exe based on the video selection.

3DFX is the best option when used in conjunction with dgVoodoo as the 3DFX to DirectX wrapper. It's clear that the game was targeted for the 3DFX platform. I was able to finish the game with only one crash on Campaign 6 level 1. That only occurred if I tried to kill everyone. Proceed through the level quickly and there is no problem. Graphics, distance fog, ACOG; everything looks good in this mode.

OpenGL was buggy and failed with assertion errors after campaign 5 level 3 - Save the Senator. The game failed whenever the senator was released and then occasionally on the levels thereafter. I was able to workaround the senator crash by using MoSlow to slow my Athlon XP 2800+ to 30% of it's overall speed. The ACOG sight doesn't seem to work properly in OpenGL. Using certain Application compatibility modes may improve this mode, particularly DisableScreenSaver, EmulateHeap, HeapLookAsideFree, EmulateJoystick, EmulatePlaySound (See Microsoft Compatibility Administrator).

Software seems to run OK but looks bad and may crash without warning.
