dual-channel DDR linear mode?

I'm running 2 transcend 512 memory sticks in dual channel-mode. On boot it says dual-channel, linear mode Are there any other modes and how do I change modes?.

Are there any other modes and how do I change modes?

Put the sticks in the same colored slots, red and red, blue on blue etc. typically it will be one slot, then slot empty, then another slot.

or if you prefer, DIMM1 + DIMM3 for the first pair then DIMM2 + DIMM4 for the second pair
 
As for linear mode, not sure. Could be the terminology used by the mobo manufacturer.

What I wan't to know is if there are any other dual-channel modes beside linear?

I'd like to know too, my Canterwood board only states Dual-Channel Memory Mode Enabled. Nothing about this Linear mode.

Now what about the 875P chipset, this document seems to only be about the 865xx chipset flavors.
 
However, since I don't recall seeing any integrated gfx on the Conterwood, I may have to assume that it only runs in this linear memory mode
