Accelenation has checked out the Intel Pentium 4 @ 3.4GHz
Another day another speed bump. Unless you do a lot of office and content creation work, it's hard to recommend any Prescott. The extended 31 stage pipeline of the Prescott is still acting as a handicap. In gaming tests the Athlon 64 3200+ beats out both the 3.4E and 3.4C, which indicates that the 3400+ should wipe the floor with them.
