By offering a whole family of GPUs (Graphics Processing Units), nVIDIA positions themselves to hold a commanding lead over their competition with regard to marketshare and mindshare among end-users. This business model is nothing new; in fact we've seen it from their competition like ATI. However, because nVIDIA chips are the best performing in their respective categories they are the most popular right now.
