Albatron KX400-8X Review

Hardware-Test has tested the KT400 based mainboard from Albatron
I was able to get my Athlon XP 1800+ up to 156MHz FSB, which is rather high when you consider that it is multiplier locked.
I was able to get my system all the way up to 163MHz FSB with a multiplier of 11,5. But I didn’t want to risk it since I only have a Papst 12db cooler in my system. This could have been avoided with a bigger fan and cooler. This is really a mainboard you want to have, if you are into overclocking!
Despite lacking features like Firewire, SerialATA, onboard LAN, I think that Albatron is a good competitor to ASUS, SOYO and EPoX. This is mostly due to its overclocking features are something really extraordinary.
