Intel firmly holds the throne when it comes to outright performance, and motherboard manufacturers are in a constant race to keep up with the demands of the enthusiast crowd of overclockers. We have ASRock, ASUS and MSI just to name a few of the companies leading the charge on the front lines, releasing some well equipped motherboards supporting both the 1155 and 2011 CPU sockets over the past year. Today we will be looking at one of the latest offerings from ASRock, the Z77 OC Formula.
Just looking at the specifications alone, the Z77 OC Formula promises to be a serious contender for the top spot when it comes to the high end segment of motherboards. With support for both the second and third generation Intel core i7, i5 and i3 processors, we should see some impressive overclocks with the Z77 OC Formula, possibly record-even if aggressive memory overclocks (up to 3000MHz+) can also be achieved. Throw in ASRock's own unique features like XFast Lan, XFast USB and XFast Ram (just to name a few) and you have the makings for an extreme performance board.
