I was very surprised at how well the AVC Avalanche actually did. Sold as an "OEM Cooler", it would provide an excellent cooling solution for your every day desktop system, as well as the moderate overclocker / occasional gamer. Replacing the fan with a higher flow 60mm unit, or adapting to a larger fan would probably help the cooling performance, but would most definitely detract from it's biggest asset... the low noise level.
