Big Cooling From a Small Package: Cooler Master Vortex TX Review

Sysopt posted a review on the Cooler Master Vortex TX
Eight-eight millimeters in diameter, the Vortex TX resembles Intel's LGA775 reference design, but with a slim 35mm sink height that reaches only 70mm in height with fan attached. And even the fan resembles that of Intel's reference design, with its 92mm center on 80mm frame. But in many ways, that's where the resemblance ends, as Cooler Master uses an all-copper design with a lower fan speed and a modified shape allows it to fit all Socket 939, 940, and 478 motherboards, plus Socket 462 boards with mounting holes, in addition to the expected LGA775 platform.
Can so small a solution compete with the big boys to extend value to a wider market?
