OC Workbench posted a review on the BIOSTAR TF7050-M2 NVIDIA 7050-630A mainboard
BIOSTAR makes a come back with its first mATX board based on the NF 7050-630A (MCP68) chipset. As we already know, this chipset targets the video buff and potential HTPC builders for a full feature playback device supporting playback of 720p H.264 movies with ease at lower CPU utilisation in contrast to competiting chipsets. The board also comes with PS3.0 support with a max share memory of 256MB.
Most of the boards we see today only comes with a DVI output port. This makes it troublesome for users as they would require re-routing audio and need to get a DVI-gt;HDMI converter if they intend to output to a LCD TV. BIOSTAR TF7050-M2 removed this hassle with a built in HDMI connector with HDCP to support playbck of protected HD DVD and Blu-ray Discs. In addition to the HDMI interface, a TV out port and a D-SUB is also integrated on board. So, if you do not have a HDCP compliant display yet, you can still use your current display or TV for playing back of non protected contents.
The board also comes with an impressive amount of overclocking options which allows you can overclock the AM2 board with CPU Vcore, Vdimm, NB
adjustments. The heatsink also helps to make the board cooler than its competitor's. Other features include RAID 5, USB, GbE. The package also
comes with a free HDMI-gt;DVI converter.
