ExtremeTech looks at all the myriad ways one could network a home media center
We tested audio and video streaming using faster power-line networking, and standard 802.11a and 802.11b. We also tested those wireless networks using the TI-enhanced version of each, which claims to double bandwidth of 802.11b, and increase 802.11a by a third.
Regular switched 100Mbits/sec and gigabit Ethernet were used for the control group.
