CoolerMaster Storm Sonuz Gaming Headset Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 08/09/2012 10:25 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

PureOverclock has published a review of the Cooler Master Storm Sonuz gaming headset

If you’re a gamer you’re most likely always looking for a gaming experience that gives you the highest picture quality and visual performance you can afford. A high-end video card is of paramount importance, but sometimes it’s easy to forget that the audio can be just as important for your gaming experience. Because of this, it’s important not to over-look the audio equipment you choose in order to round out the system. In the distant past, the gaming experiences were limited to just mono or two channels. Technology advances of today are now capable of creating sounds on a multidimensional sound stage from multiple angles.

When we listen to any type of audio in a two-channel mode, especially when gaming, we can easily lose a certain depth of sound. Capturing that immersion is the crux of every audio experience, be it high-end speakers on your 5.1 stereo system, or a high performance gaming headset for your PC. Cooler Master as most of you know has been a major player in the computer market for a number of years. They are mostly known for their cooling solutions and computer cases; however, they have branched out and moved into several markets in the industry recently. One of these markets is gaming peripherals, and includes gaming headsets. They introduced their first one last year, called the CM Storm Sirus. When we reviewed it, despite its weight and size, we found it to be one of the better 5.1 surround sound gaming headsets at that time.
