SilverStone Zeus 1200 Watt Review
Bjorn3D takes a look at the SilverStone Zeus 1200 watt

When gamers and overclockers like myself start adding more and more video cards, hard drives, fans, and pumps and when we push these components even harder to the point of breaking by overclocking them, the need of a high out put, highly efficient power supply becomes necessary.

Which brings us to another point, what type of PSU to get? We already know we need a PSU that is powerful, but what kind? Do we need a single rail PSU? Or do we go multi railed? Boy, this really helps us narrow things down (sarcasm). Well, why not get a power supply that can do both? SilverStone, a name we overclockers trust and know for having one of the top of the line power supplies in the market, brings us a PSU that can be switched from multi railed to single rail by a flick of the switch.

Seagate 250 GB Momentus 5400.4 SATA Notebook Hard Drive Review
Tech ARP posted a review on the Seagate 250 GB Momentus 5400.4 SATA Notebook Hard Drive

The Momentus 5400.4 is Seagate's second notebook hard drive to feature perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) technology. By magnetizing the data bits perpendicularly to the plane of the platter, it allows a higher areal density than what was previously possible with the traditional method of longitudinal recording.

By increasing the areal density, Seagate was able to greatly improve the transfer rate and performance of the Momentus 5400.4. Let's find out just how fast the Seagate Momentus 5400.4 goes!

TestFreaks posted a review on the OCZ USB 2.0 Rally2 64GB Flash Drive

It's been a while since I looked at any USB Flash Drives, so I figured
it was about time. This isn't just any flash drive either, it's one of only a few 64gb drives on the market today. The OCZ Rally2 64gb flash drive is obviously large capacity, but it's got a metal housing as well that makes it tough and durable. I've got two other 64gb drives on hand for comparison, so continue on for the comparison and review of the Rally2 64gb flash drive.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition reviewed
ITreviewed posted a review on the AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

Sure the performance of the chip is whipped by Intel's Core i7 940 and Core i7 965 Extreme Edition, but you'll have to spend an outrageous amount of money for the pleasure (500 and 800, respectively). As far as price-performance ratio, the Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition can't be beaten. And while the Phenom II X 945 (3.0GHz) is only =A320 or so cheaper than the Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, I'd recommend paying that little bit more for the unlocked multiplier - unless the very idea of overclocking causes you to break out in a cold sweat! You shouldn't sweat it though - cranking up the clock speed on a processor is as simple as setting the multiplier and tweaking the voltage if needed: achieving 3.8GHz (nearly a 20% improvement) at stock voltage can be done in seconds without lifting a finger".

Hardware Logic posted a review on the Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB ST9500420AS

There's still nothing in the notebook world that can touch the largest desktop drives, which now offer up to a portly 2TB, but the latest capacity milestone notwithstanding, mobile hard drives have begun closing the gap. Today we take a look at Seagate's newest Momentus model, the 7200.4 500GB hard drive. Representing the largest capacity yet offered in a notebook drive, Seagate also says its latest Momentus is also the best performing. That's a big claim, and not only will we throw the hammer down on the Momentus, but we'll test two of them in a RAID 0 array, giving us 1TB of total storage spinning at 7200RPM.

AMD Phenom II 955 X4 Black Edition Review
LostCircuits takes a look at the AMD Phenom II 955 X4 Black Edition processor

AMD is closing in on the performance lead of Intel CPUs. There are many applications where Intel's Nehalem still has the undisputed edge but at the same time, especially in some of the game applications, the Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition showed itself as a formidable opponent of anything coming from Intel. Despite what we heard and read earlier, also the migration to DDR3 memory boosts performance but the benefits are limited at this point by the slow NB / L3 cache, as our data rather convincingly show. In other words, this is the main area where AMD needs to focus with respect to performance since the memory and the CPU both can deliver more than what the NB bottleneck can handle at this time.

ATI Radeon HD 4770 40nm GPU Review
HotHardware.com posted a review on the ATI Radeon HD 4770 40nm GPU

AMD is launching yet another new ATI Radeon graphics card today. And in light of the current worldwide economic conditions, along with the performance and power consumption data we present in the article, we suspect it's going to be a welcomed addition to the company's already potent
graphics card line-up.

You see, the brand new Radeon HD 4770 is AMD's first mainstream desktop GPU manufactured using a 40m process, and as such, it is more economical for the company to produce (due to its smaller die size) and it consumes little power relative to the current crop of products manufactured at 55nm. The Radeon HD 4770's main features don't stray far from the other members of the Radeon HD 4000 family, but its specifications are somewhat different due to the use of the new GPU, which was formerly codenamed RV740. Check it out...

ATI Radeon HD 4770 512MB GDDR5 Review
Hardware Canucks posted a review of the HD 4770 512MB GDDR5 video card.

The HD 4770 is the poster boy for the changing face of ATI. They have forgone the push for a power-hungry monolithic architecture and have instead focused their energies on scalable, more compact GPU cores which can be used for multiple cards in various price ranges. This was first accomplished with the 55nm HD 4800-series and later perfected with the lower end HD 4600 series and more recently the HD 4890 1GB. As technology has progressed, so too has ATI's shift towards a more price and efficiency-conscious manufacturing processes.

AMD Athlon X2 7850 BE Review
The guru of 3D posted AMD Athlon X2 7850 BE review

Budget is one of the keywords that AMD likes to address. It's a huge market and really, what's not to like about it ? Today AMD is adding another budget processor to their line-up, in specific the AMD Athlon X2 7850 BE 2.8 GHz (Black Edition) and here at Guru3D.com we will take a look at it.

A 2.8GHz clocked dual-core processor with 3MB of total cache, 512KB of the L2 variety per core and 2MB of shared L3 cache per chip developed under ASIC codename KUMA, and that means it really is a 1st generation Phenom processor.

To top it off, this processor will also be a Black Edition chip which overclockers should like very much. To top it off, the product costs merely 79 USD. Not bad .. or is it ?

Scythe Mugen 2 CPU Cooler Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Scythe Mugen 2 CPU Cooler

Bling, bright LED lights, unique fin designs, exotic metal plating and loud, high CFM fans. What do all these things have in common? They are common features that attract the masses into buying a certain cooler over another, purely based on looks alone. Every once in a while a manufacturer takes a step back and tries to improve on a more basic design and add a few extra features that aren’t found on most CPU coolers on the market; taking the concept of a simple fin shape, basic use of common metals and from what I see on the internet, from previous users, really quiet fans as well. The company in question of taking this exact approach is Scythe.

Today I have the pleasure of taking a look at the Mugen 2 CPU cooler from Scythe. Never personally purchasing any of Scythe’s products previous to this review, I am sort of in the dark for firsthand knowledge of what their reputation is based on. What I have read in forums and seen in screenshots will be tested to our standards. Then we can see what all this "hype" is surrounding the Mugen 2 and hopefully shed some light for you and myself along the way.

ATI Radeon HD 4770 review: The $100 Killer GPU?
TechSpot posted a review on the ATI Radeon HD 4770

Hot on the heels of last month's Radeon HD 4890 release which set a new performance record for ATI as their fastest single GPU yet, the company has another new graphics card for us today, this time targeting the sub-$100 market.

The new Radeon HD 4770 is the world's first 40nm graphics processing unit, and although it's not designed to set any speed records like the flagship 4890, the 4770 aims to deliver the best possible value in a neat cost-effective package.

It has become common practice for both ATI and Nvidia to make their initial migration to a new design process using a mid-range or even low-end GPU, allowing time for refinement before they push it to high-performance parts. That said, the Radeon HD 4770 is far from a simple affair as the GPU has a transistor count of 826 million, or just 14% less than the Radeon HD 4890, ATI's most complex GPU yet.

AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition AM2+ CPU Review
OCC has published a new review on the AMD Athlon X2 7850 Black Edition AM2+ CPU

While the AMD Athlon X2 7850 might not be as fast as the triple and quad core processors in raw power, it does hold its own - beating out the Athlon X2 7750 in the majority of the tests, as well as the Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 in some as well. Overall, I was impressed with the increased performance of the X2 7850 in the dual core sector. With all of the top end processors released lately, the mid-range has been forgotten, and it is nice to see a refresh available for those who need a budget conscious processor. If you are in the market for a dual core processor, or looking for a great priced processor for that family computer, then the AMD Athlon X2 7850 will fit that bill nicely.

AMD is making a new addition to its midrange graphics card lineup today with the introduction of the Radeon HD 4770 videocard, based on the companies first 40nm GPU, the RV740. The Radeon HD 4770 strikes a balance between performance and price, coming just under the lucrative $100 mark and slotting in nicely in terms of performance between existing Radeon 4670 and 4850 videocards. Legit Reviews posted a review on the ATI Radeon HD 4770 512MB Video Card

AMD is launching the World's first 40nm graphics card today with the introduction of the ATI Radeon HD 4770. With such a small die size, it means that AMD can fit more dies per wafer and reduce costs. AMD expects that the Radeon HD 4770 should sell for $109 with an available rebate of $10, which brings the final price to into the uber sexy sub-$100 category.

The ATI Radeon HD 4770 graphics card might cost just $109, but the card doesn't look and perform like what many would expect out of a card in that price range. The Radeon HD 4770 was able to keep up with the Radeon HD 4850 and GeForce 9800 GTX+ in numerous benchmarks as a testament to that. For those that game in the 1280x1024 to 1680x1050 resolution range the Radeon HD 4770 should be fine for most games with average settings as our testing had the image quality cranked all the way up in almost every test and the card did fine...

HIS Radeon HD 4770 512MB video card review
Elite Bastards posted HIS Radeon HD 4770 512MB video card review

Perhaps most noteworthy amongst RV740's credentials is its place as the first 40 nanometre graphics core to hit the desktop GPU market, giving it obvious power usage and size advantages over the 55 nanometre process used by the rest of the Radeon HD 4000 series thus far. Into this 40 nanometre core is packed 826 million transistors, an obvious reduction from the 956 million sported by RV770. Naturally, as per its predecessors RV740 supports DirectX 10.1 and PCI Express 2.0, and again features tessellation hardware which won't see support in an official API until the release of DirectX 11.

Compared to RV770's 800 Stream Processors, RV740 sees a reduction to just 640 Stream Processors (as per the Radeon HD 4830 it replaces, which reached this total by having some SIMD cores disabled in hardware) - As per RV770, these Stream Processors are arranged as arrays of sixteen units (or SIMD cores), of which there are eight.
