I personally think that hardware FSAA is better then hardware T& L, if I can´t have both features in a card. Why? It simply brings back to the point where availability and compatiblity is concern. Why bother going for a technology which is not available, or atleast available in all of the games right now?

Okay, so you may be thinking of the future, but by that time when (if) hardware T& L makes it to the point where every games will support such feature, better technology will be available and at that point of time, who knows, maybe there will be hardware T& L 2 or something (think of SIMD).
