Google has agreed to settle a patent dispute between itself and the Rockstar consortium, an assembly of companies including Apple and Microsoft that own Nortel's old intellectual property

From Neowin:
Google has agreed to settle a dispute with the Rockstar patent consortium, that includes Microsoft and Apple among its members. The legal dispute was related to patents which were, according to Rockstar, infringed upon by Google’s Android OS.

Rockstar acquired numerous patents and intellectual property from Nortel, and used those patents last year to sue Google, Samsung and other manufacturers that were using the search giant’s Android OS for their handsets.
