LaCie LaCinema Black Max reviewed

ITreviewed posted a review on the LaCie LaCinema Black Max
As with any product with a 'La' in the name, it stands to reason that the LaCinema Black Max is stylish. However, once you have got past the first date it starts to disappoint. Granted, output quality was excellent via HDMI and I had no problems streaming to it from my NAS, but only one digital TV tuner meant it was not good enough for my extreme TV viewing habits. The 1080i upscaling of standard definition movies was very good, as was the quality of audio and video overall. The remote control lets the unit down, being cramped and cheap looking, and there is no Internet radio support. Besides the ludicrous asking price, the LaCinema Black Max is also noisy. A versatile and good performer, but not good enough for the price.
