Mach Xtreme MX-ES 32 GB USB 3.0 Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 11/09/2012 08:35 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

techPowerUp posted a review on the Mach Xtreme MX-ES 32 GB USB 3.0 drive

This time, we are taking a look at the Mach Xtreme MX-ES flash drive. It utilizes SLC-based flash to eliminate the weakness of most drives: their write speed. Do not let its look fool you. While the MX-ES may look just like their entry level CX unit, due to the choice of housing, the drive is advertised with speeds of up to 170 MB/s read and 185 MB/s write. Mach Xtreme even goes one step further and mentions that these benchmarks are attained with ATTO.

This is what Mach Xtreme has to say about their own flash drive:

Thanks to its use of advanced SLC NAND flash technology, the MX-ES USB 3.0 flash drive transfers data in the fast lane featuring ultra-high transfer rates making data transfer easy. The MX-ES Series USB 3.0 pen-drive utilizes SLC NAND flash to offer higher performance and longer endurance over traditional MLC NAND flash, which is typically used in other USB 3.0 pen-drives.
