Microsoft Corp. and Unisys Corp. have just demonstrated that the largest Web-based enterprises can run their ERP applications with power and speed - without paying a UNIX-premium price. In an industry-standard benchmark, a 16-processor Unisys e@ction Enterprise Server ES7000 system, running Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition and Windows® 2000 Datacenter Server, simulated a workload of 10,400 mySAP.com users with an average response time of 1.83 seconds.
