AMDBoard send words that MSI release a new socket 940 dual-Opteron motherboard
Coming out at CeBIT 2004 this new socket 940 dual-Opteron motherboard from MSI is reaching new level of features and performances. Just a look to the K8D Master 3 photo will convince the most skeptical observers that we are not dealing with an ordinary piece of layered bakelite... The new server and workstation goddess offers no less than 12 DIMM slots (8+4) which supports Dual-channel Registered ECC DDR 400/333/266 SDRAM, but also Serial-ATA (K8D Master 3-FA4R(M)) or SCSI (K8D Master 3-FS(M)), RAID, Dual Ultra DMA 133/100/66, built-in 64-bit Dual Gigabit Ethernet, 3 x PCI-X slots, 2 x 32-Bit PCI slots, Integrated ATI Rage XL graphics controller, and so many more features that we should better check the specification twice to make sure that we are not dreaming. Fortunately, they are quietly waiting for us and the least we can say is... Terrific!
