NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Specifications Disclosed @ techPowerUp

The information was sourced and publicized by the VideoCardz.com crew on Tuesday, confirming some previous leaks and refuting others. The new GeForce GTX 760 employs the same reference design NVIDIA used for its previous generation cards (GTX 670, GTX 660 Ti, GTX 660 and GTX 650 Ti) and is designed to replace the GTX 660 Ti in NVIDIA's current lineup. The card employs a cut down version of the GK 104 GPU, with 1152 CUDA Cores, 96 TMUs and 32 ROPs. With a base clock of 980 Mhz and a boost value of 53 Mhz, for a maximum out of the box frequency of 1033 Mhz, the new card supports GPU Boost 2.0 which is a temperature controlled feature (the cooler the chip the higher the clocks). Stock memory size will be 2 GB and reference memory clocks were set at 1502 Mhz, for a slightly over 6 Ghz effective speed. A 256-bit wide memory bus is employed to offer 192 GB/s of memory bandwidth at stock clocks. TDP is set at 170W for the new card, requiring two 6-pin PCIe connectors

How To Use PHP 4.4.9 (FastCGI) With Apache ISPConfig 3 (Debian Wheezy) @ Howtoforge

Since ISPConfig 3.0.5, it is possible to use multiple PHP versions on one server and select the optimal PHP version for a website. If you have some very old websites on your server, they might not work with PHP5, but only with PHP4. This tutorial shows how to build PHP 4.4.9 as a FastCGI version for use with Apache2 on a Debian Wheezy server. This PHP version can be used together with the default PHP (installed through apt) in ISPConfig.

Just a year ago Intel launched their Ivy Bridge processors and now a year later we have another platform launch from Intel. The 4th Generation Core Haswell processors are the tock to Intel's tick and tock release schedule. A tock represents a new architecture and a tick represents a process refinement. So Haswell brings with it a new architecture, but is still built on the same 22nm process as Ivy Bridge. Intel has introduced a new LGA1150 socket with Haswell and a new chipset so you will not be able to throw this processor in an older motherboard, you will have to buy a new one. Today we are taking a look at the top of the line Haswell desktop chip the Core i7-4770K. Of course the K denotes that it is an unlocked processor. This is a quad-core processor that has a default clock speed of 3.5 GHz and a turbo frequency that goes all the way up to 3.9 GHz.

MSI GeForce GTX 770 Gaming edition Graphics card Review @ Guru3D

Let's review the MSI GeForce GTX 770 Gamer edition. This more affordable version of the GTX 770 might be stock clocked but is armed with military class components, an awesome TwinFrozr cooler that is very silent and keeps this GPU chilled down at a cool 70 Degrees C temperature. Oh and it overclocks as well as any GTX 770 card really, making this a bargain buy for just 370 EUR.

But first things first, we take a closer look at NVIDIA's new GeForce GTX 770. The GeForce GTX 770 is a top of the line segmented graphics card. It uses a familiar GPU though, yes the very same GPU as the GTX 680 actually. That makes it a chunk faster, alongside a clock frequency and memory increase it will be priced aggressively, that in a nutshell, my friends, is the new GeForce GTX 770. We test the product with the hottest games like Metro: Last Light, Battlefield 3, Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Hitman Absolution and many more.

QNAP TS-421 4-bay Home & SOHO NAS Review @ Madshrimps

QNAP has introduced a new NAS series with the latest QTS 4.0 Operating System. The unit comes with a single-core Marvell CPU at 2.0GHz, 1GB of RAM and features a lot of connectivity options. On the front it looks pretty much the same as the TS-469L, but now we also have an active LCD screen with two buttons for navigation, but the IR sensor is missing since the unit does not come with a HDMI output.

EVGA GeForce GTX 780 ACX SC Review @ Hardware Canucks

The GTX 780 ACX SC represents something off of EVGA’s typical path. Until now, they’ve been mostly content to stick with the reference heatsink or a close approximation thereof for many of their high end cards. From the Superclocked to the Classified, there hasn’t been all that much of a departure from the norm but with the 700-series, they’ve decided to compete with the Gigabytes, Zotacs and MSIs of this world. How? By introducing a completely custom designed heatsink.

As long as there have been axial and exhaust-style heatsinks, a debate has raged about which is better for cooling performance. While the blower-type setup guarantees hot air is exhausted outside of the GPU’s immediate vicinity, attaining ultra low temperatures is difficult. On the other hand, axial “downdraft” coolers are highly efficient at cooling off a hot-running GPU core, they dump that heat back into the case, potentially playing havoc with the temperature of other components.

MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 Micro ATX Motherboard Review @ HiTech Legion

At least some things can be ordered direct from the manufacturer. Eliminating the middle man can at times create a good amount of savings. There are some other types of items where there is a lot of competition and one of those is the electronics market. Competition often drives down prices and it is what we have to thank for the ability to buy or build a budget computer system. Without it there would be no such thing as a budget system and computers would still only be for businesses and wealthy people.

The MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 motherboard features the A85 chipset and the FM2 socket to support AMD’s latest Richland APUs. The MSI FM2-A85XMA-E35 motherboard takes the form of a Micro ATX board and is targeted at mainstream users. MSI includes all solid capacitors in the board to increase the life of components and protection against damage with anti-ESD ICs on the board. OC Genie II and Click BIOS II are provided for instant overclocking and easy to navigate UEFI BIOS. Connectivity options include USB 3.0 ports, SATA 6G, Onboard LAN, HDMI 1.4, and Super Charger USB port. Support is provided for AMD Dual Graphics technology, linking select discrete GPUs and APU for better graphics performance.

Thermalright AXP-200 CPU Cooler Detailed @ techPowerUp

Thermalright's AXP-100 SFF-friendly C-type heatsink is about to get a bigger sibling, the AXP-200. Its engineering drawings were leaked to the web, revealing a C-type cooler capable of latching on to large 140 mm fans, measuring 153 x 140 x 60 mm, and weighing in at 475 g. Its basic design is identical to the AXP-100, with a compact 22 mm clearance between the fin-stack and the base.

The AXP-200 uses six 6 mm-thick heat pipes that emerge from a nickel-plated copper base, conveying heat to an aluminum fin-stack that's arranged along the plane of the motherboard. It features 48 fins with a spacing of 2 mm. The AXP-200 should ship with a 140 mm fan (likely stock TY-140), although it's capable of handling CPUs with up to 35W TDP completely fan-less. There's no word on when exactly we'll see it in stores, or at what price.

Kingston MobileLite Wireless Review @ KitGuru

Today we are looking at the Kingston Mobilelite Wireless, a portable SD card reader with WiFi capabilities. Zardon reviewed the Kingston Wi-Drive (http://www.kitguru.net/networking/zardon/kingston-wi-drive-64gb-review/) earlier this year and found it to be ”a very useful device at a very competitive price point. Like the Wi-Drive, the Mobilelite Wireless is aimed at Android and Apple users while those with a Windows phone will have to wait for their version of the app needed to use the reader.

MSI GeForce GTX 760 Twin Frozr OC Gaming Preview @ techPowerUp

Following the previous GeForce GTX 760 specs disclosure, we now have an MSI custom design version unveiled. Looking very similar to its higher end sibling, the GTX 770, MSI's GTX 760 Gaming employs a custom design PCB, sporting Military Class III components. The card is equipped with the Twin Frozr IV Cooler, a dual slot, dual fan solution featuring MSI's Dust Removal technology, a feature that sees the fans spin in reverse at start-up. The card employs the previously detailed GK 104-225 GPU, featuring 1152 CUDA Cores, 96 TMUs and 32 ROPs. Memory is clocked the same as in the case of NVIDIA's reference design, 6008 Mhz effective speed over a 256-bit bus, for a memory bandwidth of 192 GB/s.
