PureOverclock posted a review on the OCZ Agility 4 256GB SSD
Over the last couple of years or so we’ve looked at many Solid State Drives that feature various technologies in the attempt to boost speed and performance. Some have been more successful than other, but there’s no mistaking the fact that SSDs are becoming increasingly popular with each passing month. Big improvements in controller technology and performance increases have been overshadowed perhaps by falling prices, making these lightning quick drives more accessible to the masses, helping to overcome the biggest bottleneck components in a modern system.
OCZ bought Indilinx last year with the plans to develop a proprietary controller, and the result of that was initially the “Indilinx-Infused” Everest 1 controller on the OCZ Octane; impressive but not reality-bending. Then along came the Everest 2 controller, and we’re not seeing a more mainstream-oriented approach with the OCZ Agility 4.
