Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 08/01/2003 10:48 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]
Nexus Hardware has posted a review on the Seagate Cheetah 15K.3
Since the last generation (the Cheetah X15 36LP) the platter density has doubled to 18GB per platter, and the performance of the 15K drive has increased. The 15K.3 comes with 8MB of cache, an ultra320 interface, and is also backward compatible w/ ultra160 as well. The drive that will be reviewed today has a 68pin interface (rather than 80pin which is used for hot-swap), and its capacity is 36.7GB.
