Following the rail testing I sought to find out the usefulness of the extra added feature Skyhawk calls Audio Stand By. Essentially, the technology allows you to use an "always on" line in conjunction with your optical drive to play CDs without powering up your computer. Of course there is always a catch; your optical drive must have two buttons, an eject and play button which most newer drives have abandoned.
