Microsoft has released an update that allows you to choose between two different mouse performance profiles on computers running Windows MultiPoint Server 2011.

This download contains an optional update that allows you to choose between two profiles for mouse performance during video playback on computers running Windows MultiPoint Server 2011. You should consider applying this update only if you are using Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 and have noticed slow mouse movement response times when running certain types of video.

Note:
This update is intended for computers with local stations that are using USB-based, multi-function station hubs.

This update is not recommended for local stations that have direct video connections to graphics cards or remote stations that have LAN-based thin client connections using the Remote Desktop Protocol.

By default, Windows Multipoint Server is optimized for video playback across a wide set of media types and hardware configurations. Installing this update allows you to choose an alternate performance profile that has some graphics processing-intensive tasks disabled. On some hardware configurations, this results in more responsive mouse movements during Internet video playback.
