Login on NT domain from a XP home edition

Hello everybody. I'm at work right now and I cant find how to login on a NT 4 SP6a domain from a XP home edition. On 9x/ME, I set the domain double-clicking on 'windows network client' and choose 'logon on NT domain' (I use brazilian portuguese Windows, but you'll got the picture).

New SBlive Drivers Problems?

Hi all! I Have this 2 problems with this new SBlive official drivers from 10/03/2003 1 - I've noticed since i installed this drivers I get no sound from the CENTER channel in some games (ex. Americas Army), wich didn't happend with the early drivers.

A problem thats been bugging me for weeks now. On an XP machine here, everytime you enter a word in the address bar of internet explorer it doesnt just open the search page etc. . . it just opens a windows installer.

Hello, over the last six months or so, when I go to install Windows updates it is taking me well over an hour to install the updates. Can anyone help? When I try to close down the install window, I end up needing to shut down my computer and I get one of those dreaded blue screens.

I've been having a problem with enabling hyperthreading in WinXP. My mobo picks up the processor as 2 3. 06 GHz P4's, but XP treats it as one. Any suggestions? Thanks, Matthew Derganc.

I recently submitted game compatibility results (alittle over a week) but they never made it online. . was wondering if theres something Im doing wrong. . I tried submitting 2 differant times, the game in question is Magic Carpet 2 ,it works fine in Windows XP SP1 on 2 differant PC's I have here.

anybody know how to install the uk patch over the us version? (s1000to1004_uk. exe) why? i doesnt required the cds to play the game i heard. if you have ever played starsiege you know that there are 2 cds and it asks for one or the other of them at different intervals and it is a pain.

I have a nForce2 MB (Epox 8RDA) with the latest bios and UDP from nVidia. I'm running 2k w/sp3 with a 2100XP When I try to burn a audio CD using Nero ther are 2 problems. First, the audio tracks start playback 90 seconds from the end of each track.

Power down hdd using Windows 2000 Server?

Is it possible to allow harddrives to power down under windows 2000 server? I cannot find the icon in the control panel. I've searched the web for answers but found not much. Can it be done with using the BIOS to force windows, if windows 2000 server does not allow it?.
