Imagecast --> Dual Boot Clients --> Ideas??

I have several workstations that due to software compatibility issues are required to be dual boot. Win 98 and Win2K. I have the machines configured with 98 on the C (FAT32) Partition and 2000 on the D(NTFS) partition.

Hi, I have Windows 2000 and had applied a theme to it to make it look different. However, I decided to switch back to standard Windows 2000 look but I need two files that i forgot to backup before replacing with the custom images.

Hi, I'm trying to update one Siemens Phone with an official updater from his page but when It starts can't connect to COM Port and don't recognize the phone, anyone knows the problem here? thanks in advance.

hi, im going to buy a ga-7va1394 motherboard from gigabyte. im asuming the firewire on this board is 1394a right? also ive heard you cant stick an athlonxp2800+in this motherboard, although the gigabyte website says you can.

Whate are your impressions of it? I am wondering if it is worth the downlaod. I currently use IE because it is much faster then Netscape. I know phoenix is supposed to be stripped down; how does the speed compare to IE? I have only used mozilla once (3-4 years ago) and was less then impressed.

Locking file associations

Hello all, Is there some way to completely lock file associations in XP Pro? I would like to set the associations to my liking and then, hopefully, do something to the registry so that even if the world ends nothing can alter those associations again.

windows, software based proxy... HELP PLEASE!!!

I am in need of a decent proxy server that has cache and can allow FTP and HTTP through my connection. Heres the setup: A DSL modem/router connects to the internet, then the server, a win2k box (which must stay win2k, so dont say linux) with two NICs in it.

Unable to log off or shutdown in 2k

I always seem to get the 'weird' problems. Running Win 2k w/sp3 I have a box set up with one user and using TweakUI I set it to login with that restricted user automatically. I changed the startup of some services in Administrator Tools to trim down what is running at startup and now when I try to log off to get in ...

I remember being on the BBSs and some of them would have text internet and Gopher. This was back in 1990, or earlier, i think. I was on AOL since 1. 0 (still have the floppy disk today)connecting @ 2400bps.
