I went to routing and remote access console and enabled the 2k server as a vpn server, and it works. I cant find in there though how to set exactly which users have access. Does it only allow user accounts that can Log on locally (Admns) ?? or is there somehting I am missing.

GUys I still use ICQ99b ( the one with no ads) and it works ok but I really want to upgrade to the newer ones but hate all the ads and AOL @#$%. Any way to remove all the exces chunk from the newer versions?.

why do my apps take so long to start?

I just got myself a new pc, well, built it myself. Its fast enough when things are open etc, but it takes longer for this one to open apps than my last pc! For example, if i click explorer, in the quick start bar, it can often take 5,6 or 7 secs to open up an explorer! the strange thing is that if i click it 4 time ...

The topic says it all, but basically I have a Vantec Aeroflow and at 100% load, it runs at 47 degrees celcius, that is far too much for me, because in my city, during the months of June to August, it gets up to 40+ degrees celcius outside, and even hotter in here.

i´ve about ten dirs in system32 that have all similar names and are empty except 1033 that contains the dwintl. dll file with a dialup icon i wonder if this dirs are really necessary and because i hate trash in my pc can any1 tell me if i can delete those dirs please feedback me.

I have a small problem with Windows 2003 Server. I run a exe-program on it. I log in as a remote users and starts it (a gameserver). I then have to disconnect from remote, and the program continues to run as wanted.

this is some of the many services that i´ve founded out that startup at boot , i´ve already removed the WebCheck and i wonder if i can delete the CDBurn too ; because i´ve the cd burning capabilities disabled in xp and i use ahead software to burn my cds without any problems.

Hello Everybody! We disabled messenger service in our school so pranksters won't use them to disrupt computer classes. However, I found out a couple of machines yesterday which were able to use the net send command to message a teacher's pc.

Well I found out firsthand some issues with MS and it's license policies. Last Sept I downloaded a trial of Money 2003 Deluxe, and purchased the upgrade for $39. 95, which btw was cheaper then the $59.

I just got a 80GB drive and I think it would be best to finally go with NTFS, but all my other drives are FAT32 ( 3 more on 2 separate boxes both running 2k). No other changes other than removing a 20GB and replacing it with a 80GB.
