Okay. I'm new here. . . and I've been looking for a site like this for a while. I'm using Windows NT 4. 0 SP6. 1 on this rig and don't feel like upgrading even though I have legal version of Win2000Pro.

Greetings. I just purchased an HP Pavilion 4420 laptop today. I also bought a generic Wireless 802. 11b PC card for it. When I got home I fired it up, went through the process of getting everything setup, and ran into some issues with the wireless connection.

I recently did a fatory-restore on my laptop. I then installed some windows updates. Now my computer will run for about 30 minutes (sometimes more, sometimes less) and then completely lock up. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running xp home.

Stop Excel from making numbers an equation?

Hey all! was curious i hae a simple excel spread sheet - how ever one colum contains 23 digit numbers - but everytime i type them in - excel goes and turn the number into some equation. . . . i do not want this, i simply want the cell to have he numebr.

I am really happy with WinPE and the way it works for unattended builds of Server 2003. Has anyone found a way to use it for Unattended builds of Win2k? The win2k unattended reboot process does not know how to shut down WinPE.

Ok, This is what happens when i turn it on!. . . Nothing visual on screen for ages then wot you would expect appears and goes through the normal until it gets to the little white writing that says starting windows 95 and then it goes back to the beginning agian ! and it does this 4/5 times at least b4 it boots! Hi, When I start up my machine Scandisc is running on. Of course I always turn off my computer using Shut Down. My configuration: XP pro, NTFS Asus P4P800 Deluxe 1009 AmiBios, P4 2. 4 HT on WDC 60 8MB cache (partitioned 10 - system/50 ) WDC 80 8MB cache Disks are working on IDE3 & IDE4 ATA 100.

I have several games that require DirectX 7 to run & would like to run them on my system. I currently have Windows NT 4. 0 with SP 6A. I also have the un-official DirectX 5 patch, DirectX Media 6, & DirectPlay 6.
