System won't boot from floppys or CD w/o long delay

I hope someone else has seen this before. I'm stumped. I'm running a P4 3. 06ghz cpu on an Asus P4T533 motherboard with 512MB of 32 bit 1066 Rambus. Sytem has a SoundBlaster Audigy2 s/c,2- 120GB Maxtor H/D, integrated NIC, Yamaha CR1 FE CD-RW, DRide DVD 16x, Sony floppy, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro AGP with 128MB.

hey. . . i currently have 256MB of ram and a 384 page file which was set by the xp when it was first set up i am going to ugprade to 512MB of ram and my question is will XP will change the page file automatically , and if not , should i change it manually and to what size ?? another question.

Suggestions for graphics card

I am planning to buy a new computer. The problem I am having is about the graphics card. I need a decent graphics card with 64 MB Video Ram and which is able to run most of the new games smoothly. One option I have is to buy an intel motherboard with integrated intel extreme graphics and ac97 onboard sound.

I used to know this. . and this may well be a repeat question. . . There is a folder somewhere on XP that will allow you to add more folders to the SEND TO section of the right click. . . you know right there along with My Documents, Mail Recieipent, Archive, 3½ Floppy.

The New RPC patch has KILLED my printing and Ras

Of course I installed the latest RPC patch for my nt 4 servers. 2 things have happened. Remote access(dial in) has crashed hard and no longer works. Also All printing has failed. (these are file and print servers, and the dialin for internet access from home.

Hey guys is there anyway I can add a game port, you know the old style connectors to a new PC? My motherboard has onboard audio but no game port. I really do not want to add in an old PCI Soundblaster or something and use it just for a game port.

I have a problem with my start menu, it has a reaction speed=0 i have never set this value under my current OS install and have tried on many occasions to set it back to 400ms however on reboot it always reverts back to 0 again.

Is there another link for SP4 Network Install?

Anyone know another place to download the network install of SP4 other than M$? It's 132 megs and I am downloading at 3. 6kbps from them on cable. It started out at 90 then was at 3. 6 30 seconds later.

What is the best way to assign a specific printer to a group of users or to a group of computers? I thought maybe the group policy editor would have an option, but I didn't see one. I have considered running a login script for those users (net use \\server\printer.

Sometimes I get the problem of having to install W2k without the proper CD nearby. Usually, if it is urgent, I use one of the existing product keys, but afterwards, when the right CD cover/label is around I would like to correct this.

I did a google search but didn't find anything. I'm asking because I realised that file was running at startup now and taking a lot of juice! Also my cable lights kept flashing like I was downloading something but I wasn't! So I installed Zone Alarm and kept getting attacked by the same IP.
