Hello! I've tried looking through the forum for help on this but my problem remains - System Shock 2 on Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 1 + Patched up from MS Update site) I can install the game, set the options, watch the intro movie then try to start playing.

Hello all, I have a few PC setups running Win2K, and have recently installed Linksys WMP11 Wireless PCI cards on them. Normally, prior to the logon screen, it seems Win2K already establishes network connectivity, thus allowing you to re-establish your drive mappings, attach to a domain, etc.

Question: If I have to reformat the hard drive, I have the W98SE CD and the owner of the PC has WXPHOME upgrade. I've never upgraded from W98SE to WXP. I've heard horror stories. ANy comments?? Large temp folders in roaming profiles

On our NT 4. 0 network, we use roaming profiles. Some of the user profiles have a temp folder, and these can get very large (up to 1 GB), all of it junk, which makes for very slow logon. Other profiles do not have temp folder at all.

Lets see. I had win2k3 installed through a dual boot. The system(boot) partition was on a different drive then the os. I formatted the system partition and installed linux. I dont really care if I lose the os.

IE and the scroll bar... gone CRAZY!

I think it was after a new IE patch or something. . . When you click anywhere in that bar (scroll bar) it should go down 1 full screen. Instead it goes down like 1 and a half. So if you are reading a page like nt compatible with small posts you usually miss a couple.
