hi all, i recently got myself an ACER Travelmate 800 LCi, which is a great machine. the centrino is truly a nice thing. i installed win XP pro on it, but a few things seem not to be working. . . the main thing is that the USB ports (4 of them all USB 2.

Need help with FTP

I am running Windows2003 with BulletFTP Server. I can login into the FTP server through an actual client but NOT from I. E. !!!! I try the Login-As feature but it keeps rejecting me. Anyone have a clue as to why this is happening.

Video card fan needing lubrication?

I don't know if anyone here can help on this, but my GeForce4 Ti4200 has a problem with its cooling fan. Apparently if the GPU is cold, the fan is sort of jammed, and won't spin on a cold start, which of course leads to the chip's overheating and 3D accelerated games and apps crash.

Being a big Corvette fan, seeing the engine go into something that's less expensive (i. e. somethign I could afford before I'm a 60yr old CEO) is pretty cool. Seeing RWD V8s in general is nice, after a Fast & Furious fueled society of slow FWD 4cyl.

I need a list of Nvidia and ATI cards formattted from worst to best. What I mean specifically is chipsets. I. E. GeForce 2 MX Radeon 7000 GeForce 3 MX Radeon 8000 etc. etc. Also what is better GeForce 2 GTS 64MB DDR or an ATI Radeon 7000 64MB?.

This is tested and confirmed on winxp SP1, and windows 2000 service pack 4. Note tha I am referring to explorer, NOT internet explorer. Same problem when I save a page using mozilla. . . . . . Do this.

overclock with Nvidia's 5203 drivers.

When I used the 40xx version I had a reg file that unlocked the drivers so that I could overclock through them. But now I dont think that file will work, anyone know how I can do? Just picked up a FX59 and that card seriously rocks my house, but I want to test the limits a little.

Nice lookin' and performin' cooler. The other reviews I've seen say the same. The only thing I'd be concerned with is that it was tested on an XP2200+, which may (or may not) be a little cooler being that it's slower/older.

What is the main difference between the 5900 and the 5900 XT there are pretty close in price. What is the disadvantage if I go with the 5900XT instead of the full blown 5900? I want Nvidia so please don't suggest ATI.

my m8 has xp pro but is still on 56k connection so you can imagine what the download speed is not on that!! As i have broadband i would like to download the updates for him so he can keep his machine up to date without it clogging up the phone line forever?!! Is there a way? Thannks
