cd burner help!!!

hi, im new here. im having trouble with burning cds. i have a ARW4420 - Actima drive. Went I went to the device manager it says that everything is working correctly. my computer can read the cds and know that something is in there.

I am having some performance issues all of a sudden. Explorer is freezing quite often. I noticed that I have a lot of extra processes running that weren't there several months ago. Specifically, I have noticed gearsec.

I work for PennDot Photogrammetry and I am constantly editing, renaming, moving, and copying huge files on several different drives. Being that I work for the state, they have crazy and unreliable setups that make my job misrible.

I've noticed this very funny problem with my CPU usage in Windows XP. I always keep hearing disk access noise in the background when no programs are open, even when the computer seems to be doing nothing at all.

Want to rename files,random name

Can any of you think of a way, to rename all the files in a folder to each have a random filename? I am compiling DVD's of episodes I have, and I want to batch rename them all to ave random names. This way, when i drag them into my DVD-authoring software, the episode order will automatically be random(for playback) ...

Help using Win2k as a router

Hi, For I needed to add another computer to my network, but my DSL router's ports were full so I decided to be clever and add another NIC to my Win2k server, connect it to the new PC with a cross over cable and set the server up as a router.

Greetings all! I'm considering buying a portable MP3 player. I have a Pentium II 400 MHz with NT4 SP6. My motherboard has two USB ports, but I don't know if I can get them working with NT4. I have a load of MP3s on my hard drive that I'd like to take with me on the go.

According to the compatibility listing on the main page, Tyrian works under Windows 2000. However when i try and run it, it exits to the command prompt with: Runtime error 200 at 0006:301A. I've tried the usual VDMsound & CLI2NOP but to no effect.
