Anybody here have the Aopen AX4SG-N? If you have it, is anybody running SilentTek? If so, does anybody hear beeping when SilentTek turns the CPU fan off? If so, does anybody know how to disable that beeping? If so, how? It's annoying, and basically defeats the purpose of SilentTek.

ES1869 Plug and Play AudioDrive

I am pretty sure this laptop I have has an ES1869 Plug and Play AudioDrive, however I have been unable to find a driver for it under NT 4. Its an old Compaq Presario 1621. It works perfectly on NT4 except for the sound problem.

Quietest 128MB AGP card?

Here is what I need - 1. 128MB (can't justify the 256MB cards right now). 2. AGP interface with DVI 3. QUIET. . . 4. <$125. 00 I've seen a few fanless cards with heatsinks, are they reasonably stable/cool running? I guess not having a fan would make them a lot quieter.

I would like to know if there is a later version of DirectX for Windows NT than version 5. 0. I have heard a rumor going around that someone hacked a version 6 and 6. 1 to work on NT. Is this true and where can I get it? Thanks.

Hi ! When I'm installing w2k on NTFS I receive an information that Windows cannot finish formatting partition. I can only install w2k on FAT32, but system is instable. Sometimes I receive informations that windows cannot open/write some files.

im running IIS in my windows xp and i have some sites hosted in it. now how do i monitor the bandwidth usage? the hits and visits? do i need to install something? or is there a separate software for that? how do i setup an ftp server with IIS?.

Pure3d on XP Driver HELP

I downloaded the drivers from the download page to use my Canopus Pure3d card on Windows XP. I unzipped it and installed the file. It then asks me to restart my computer but when I do I have no idea if the drivers where installed since it gives me no indication as to what directory it puts them in.

When I try to connect to the net with my dial up after a few minutes I get this error svhost has generated errors and will close then it closes the RPC service and I can´t download updates from microsoft or install any program (all need the RPC service).

Ok, so about 2 days ago, when I got back from school a terrible thing happened to my computer. Now the monitor was in power save mode like it should be, but the tower only showed that the computer was running but theres no loading.

Hey Guys, My computer always seems to be running 1000 programs at once. But it's not. I say this because the CPU seems to always be crunching, or doing some type of memory intensive work. This only happens when I am NOT using the computer, ie idle.
