My woeful DNS skills need improving.

I work in a school and so have limited funds available so our setup is far from ideal. We have one win2k server (single domain) running most things for 350 clients (win2k and XP pro). The council runs our firewall, e-mail and broadband routing externally and they have 2 DNS servers.

DHCP Error

Ok heres the problem im on Server 2k3 Ent Ed. A cable line with a Linksys NIC. I used to be running through a DLINK router, but no more. Since then my internet has dropped in and out. It cant get a DHCP address so no internet.

Constant DNS lookup failures?

Anyone else started having this problem recently? In the last week I keeping getting page not found errors with common websites like MSN, Yahoo, CNN, etc. Works for a while and then IE will tell me the site cannot be found.

outlook sync??

ok i know it is poss to sync a pda and desktop outlook but can i do it with my laptop and my desktop?? if so how?? (i dont actually know how to do it with a pda but i know you can !!) Thanks all in advaced RF oh i have outlook 2003 if it makes a difference !!

I need drivers GeForceFX Go 5600 for Win2k

I need some direction. I just formatted my harddrive in my new sony Viao and I cannot find the device drivers for my Nvidia GeforceFX GO 5600 that are compatible with Win2k Pro. I tried the Nvidia site and the sony site and nither one was of any help.

I got this from DotNetJunkies, and it's pretty cool. It's a list of all current distros providing Live CDs. So, what's a Live CD? Well, typically running this disk at boot lets you run whatever distro on it without having to install it.

Slow logons, XP pro to 2000 server

I read that there is a lot of unneccesary comms between an XP PC and the server during login and that there were ways to speed it up, but I lost my hard copy of the instructions and can't remember where I got them from.

I am in need of some recommendations for a software package to create a report (csv, excel, etc. ) of currently installed software packages and OS installations on my network. I am aware of the MSIA, but it is limited only to Microsoft products, which DOES help, but may actually create more work than necessary.
