hey all, Okay - the boss mentioned to me something about dividing up our network, i assume this would be done with multiple domains and he says that if we do this it will help releive load on our network some how.

w2K Hardware configuration problem - Help needed!

I am facing the following issue with a w2K Server with Abit KT7A-RAID mother board. The board has two I/O RAID ports controlled by High Point HPT370 chipset and two normal IDE ports. I installed W2KS on a 120GB HD after connecting it to the normal IDE port.

DOS Emulator for Win2k?

Is there a DOS emulator that will run on Win2000 so that I can run some of my old DOS games. I understand that there may be sound sound incompatabilities. I have looked around, but all I could find were DOSEmu and FreeDOS, which seemed to be for Unix which wasn't useful.

Unable To Create Virtual Memory Page File on Win XP Pro SP1

When installing Windows XP Pro SP1 on a PC with a SCSI disk, I've always had disconnect the ATA disks because for some reason Windows always decides to install the boot files on the ATA disk, even when I specify that I want Windows installed in the SCSI disk.

Hello everyone, I have just set up a network with one machine running XP and the other ME. However I can share resource on the ME machine but when I try accessing a shared drive located on XP machine I get a “please enter password” box appear.

Can boot to Linux but not W2k on dual OS system

My HD has both Linux and W2k on it. During the boot process, the system halts, asking me to choose the operating system I wish to use. When I boot to Linux, no problem. I am able to see files, folders and access all devices.

IE 6.0 has new home page every day

every time I launch internet explorer the home page changes. I have tried spybot, adware, spyhunter and a few others. They all tell me that the creature is there and to reomove it. I have removed all the cookies, removed the item from registry and any place else that it shows up.

I have an older computer that doesn't permit booting off of a CD-ROM drive & that's the only way to install Win2k. Does anyone know of a program that updates the CMOS/BIOS or something that permits booting off of the CD-ROM drive or perhaps a NTFS bootable disk that will install Win2k to a computer of this type? Know of that 5 or 6 wire wide plug coming out of many power supplies that isn't used often? I was wondering where I could get a PS that has 2 of those that would work with an incredibly old school motherboard that has only two of these for a power attachment to the PS.

Language Bar Gone Mad! Help!

I'm using Windows XP Professional (SP1) with 3 languages (English, Hebrew, Hungarian). Lately the language bar hasn't been functioning correctly. The language selection is stuck, meaning that even if I click the language bar and change the language, it would still stay on the default one (EN).
