Civilization 2 problem

Can't manage to get Civilization 2 to play multiplayer on a WinXP and Win95 system. Both computers see eachother and can transfer files back and forth, and both play the Age of Empires 2 demo in multiplayer just fine.

Start Menu Prog Folders show as "empty"

I'm pretty much stumped on this one. I have a HP Pavilion N5415 laptop (XP HOme) that I suspect is virus infected. Anyway, all the program folders in the Start Menu show as empty. For example, if I try to access something on the menu: Start > Programs > Creative > empty Start > Programs > Musicmatch ...

What is the best modem for fax only?

We have a small fax server here at our business, and currently use a US Robotics v. 92 modem. Is this the best quality modem we can use? We have had a couple people say they can't fax to us. The problem might just be on there end, but who knows.

i have dl'd & installed mysql v. 4. 0. 18 23. 1M. i opened the winmysqladmin. exe and created the user name/password & need to create a generic db for a weblog program called wordpress. when i click on the db tab in winmysqladmin, there is a db called mysql that appears to have fields populated.

Hi , I just wonder , do we have to reinstall the windows ( Windows XP ) when upgrading CPU/Processor ?? I just asking since one of my friend told me that windows license is per unit processor , once a person change the CPU , the person have to reinstall windows ? Is it true ? Dead Spanned Volume

I have a 1Tb spanned volume (5x 200gb) on a Windows 2003 server. Recently, one of the drives died. I still have access to the spanned volume but it is painfully slow and frequently freezes. If I take out the dead drive, Windows will not mount the volume.

Recycle bin keeps corrupting...

Anyone know what the recycle bin needs to function properly? I tried setting the security to everyone but even that doesn't work. Here's the problem, I use 2 profiles. 1 is for everyone to use (which is a user account) & there is an admin account.

Can't install TweakUI for XP (KERNEL32.dll)

I'm trying to install TweakUI for XP & when I try to install the application I get. . . The procedure entry point GetDllDirectory could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32. dll I am using an admin account to install the application & I'm not sure what to do here.

Got myself in a bit of a fix. . . I was trying to create an entry on my bootloader menu to run XP setup from in case I needed to use the repair option (as the XP CD I use came from the university's IT and support unit, and once I installed, I had to return it).

Sudden memory loss!!!

I booted the computer and as usualy it started waking up from hibernation. Suddenly a screen apeared, that memory configuration has changed and bla bla bla. . . So i rebooted just to find out that my computer has lost 32MB ram.

CDRW & HD on secondary IDE channel - Will it work?

I recently built and new system and have the following drives: ATA HD, IDE HD, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM & CD-RW. I have the ATA drive connected to the SATA on the Motherboard, The DVD-RW as Primary Master and DVD-ROM as Primary Slave and the IDE HD as Secondary Master.
