Hi Guys, I do alot of workstation ghosting. We currently use NT4 workstation to satify our business needs. We are see some applications are dropping NT4 support and we will probably need to move to XP or 2003 in the near future.

Does anyone know how to get Starshot SCF working with XP? BTW, if anyone is interested, I can confirm Heart of Darkness works just fine. I didn't need to use XP compatability mode. .

Clients can't access server resources when server is locked.

I don't want anyone getting into the server via the actual server itself, I only want people to be able to get into the server via the network only, so I lock the server but the only problem is when I lock the server, no one can access the printer or any of the file resources.

I have a optical mouse microsoft and i even tried a logitech mouse same issue, issue is i never used windows xp cause it had a wierd sens mouse issue really noticiable in games, does service pack 2 fix that issue.

w2k sp4 hard drive recognition problem

When trying to access my 2nd hard drive after installing sp4 I get a message saying the drive needs to be formatted. Upon uninistallation the problem goes away. How can I get post sp4 w2k to recognize my 2nd hard drive? Both drives are Western Digital and FAT32.

Hi, I just got Comanche 3 for my old computer (450mhz) but as it is quite old game it doesn't want to work with my windows 2000. I get through the installation but it freezes when I try to run the game.

I'm not really sure which forum this goes in, sorry. When I go to the Command Prompt and type, for example, 'net send alex Hey there' it says The service name is invalid. I think Net Send has been disabled somehow.

Video card w/DVI out for a KT133 chipset MB?

I have a Epox EP8-KTA MB with a KT133 chipset. I also have a Sapphire 9100 card that I would like to put in it, but I doubt I can because of voltage differences. Or can I? If not are there any cards that have a DVI out for a KT133 chipset?.

Since upgrading to XP, my Jack Nicklaus GBC during the middle of any game, the game exits suddenly without warning. I have the Creative SB Live card and turned down Direct X acceleration and I got to about two thirds of the game before it exited.

Win2k / XP Drive Map problem

I have users that were recently migrated from NT4 to Win2k and XP. They are trying to access a remote share on a Win NT 4 server using a domain account that has rights to the share. Problem. . . a user account that works fine from an NT workstation will not work on a 2000/xp workstation.

Building the registry for slipstreamed W2K media

overworked

I've been working on slipstreaming SP4 and all the current hotfixes into W2K installation media. So far, I've gotten all the files applied properly from an unattended install. Unfortunately, there are many registry keys to set for Active X stuff and the like.
